Services - The Green Audit
What is a Green Audit? It is an evaluation and assessment of your current practices, business, etc. to baseline your current state and help identify your future green strategy.
Verdant HFC uses the Green Audit methodology developed by Strategic Sustainability Consulting for organizations who have made a commitment to “going green”, but who need help in taking practical steps toward that goal.
The Green Audit consists of five integrated components:
- Employee Survey - an online survey to gauge your employee's attitudes and awareness towards environmental issues at the office and to gather basic information necessary for development of your carbon footprint.
- Office / Building Survey - a survey that collects information about office-based environmental impacts related to facilities, utilities and IT.
- Carbon Footprint Analysis- we partner with Strategic Sustainability Consulting and TheGreenOffice.com to produce your organization's Carbon Footprint based on the inputs gathered from the Surveys and your Green Auditor's analysis. The Carbon Footprint also includes information on key "carbon drivers" that result from your business operations and provides comparative benchmarking against similar organizations.
- Onsite Visit & Workshop - Upon completion of the Surveys and Carbon Footprint Analysis, one of our Green Auditors will visit your organization's office to provide an onsite "Understanding Sustainability" Workshop for your employees, a site walk-through, meetings with key team members and a "Results & Recommendations" presentation.
- Final Green Audit Report - In addition to the materials provided as part of the Onsite Visit & Workshop, your Green Auditor will produce a final formal report back to your organization that summarizes our findings and provides a list of additional resources to get you started toward a sustainable future.
Services - The Sustainability Action Plan
In addition to the base Green Audit, Verdant HFC Sustainability Consulting is also available to help you develop and implement a Sustainability Action Plan that is specifically tailored to your organization and its available human and financial resources. The Sustainability Action Plan helps identify specific areas for improvement, the actions that can be taken to achieve the targeted improvements and the potential return on investment that can be targeted for each opportunity. Our team of experienced consultants and project management professionals will assist you with the implementation of these opportunities and enable the realization of cost savings and other targeted benefits.
